The Niger Riverways & Maritime Authority was established to ensure the benefit of the country in international sea transport and maritime affairs. As Niger is a landlocked nation, it must have a strong institution to ensure efficient sea-port utilisation — so NRMA works to build competitive river ports and maritime capacity across every corridor.
As the official ship registry, NRMA protects the integrity of the Niger flag while delivering efficient, predictable outcomes for legitimate maritime business — and, through the Niger Seafarers Education College, trains the world-class officers who will crew it.
